Well, it's been a wonderful summer of making art and participating in some really amazing shows, fairs, bazaars and festivals. I feel so fortunate for having been a part of them, and in the process I met some really awesome people, including a ton of inspiring artists and craftspeople. Currently, I am working on finishing up my new website, which I will share once it's finished. I'm also very excited about and getting ready for The People's Arts Festival, coming up at the end of this month in Detroit, MI. It looks like it's going to be a truly impressive event, featuring over 40 bands, 140 artists, as well as local fashion, film, food and drinks. Hope you can make it out!

I am currently getting ready and making new artwork for the upcoming Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival, July 29th-31st. The show that I'm creating pieces for is entitled "Triptych", curated by Sarah Gardiner and Corryn Jackson. The concept for the show is that a group of 15 artists will each receive three separate sets of instructions by mail, and then every artist will interpret each set of instructions in his or her own different way. The show will culminate in approximately 45 pieces, each inspired by three simple sets of instructions. So far I have received two of the three instructions: "no. 1 create a visual timeline of your thoughts for a 24 hour period" and "create a piece that draws from both natural and man made materials"...

Upcoming events!!!

This upcoming weekend, June 3rd-5th, I will be setting up shop for the first time at The Rust Belt Market, a super sweet new space in Ferndale, MI for local artists and collectors to sell their handmade creations and collectibles. I'm juiced-it's a beautiful space and there's always a ton of cool stuff to look at. Hope to see you there!

Hello! Winter was slow but full of productivity. I've just uploaded new images on my Artwork page-some of what I've been working on these past couple of months. And now Spring is finally here and Summer is just around the corner!!! This means that it's the season for craft fairs, and I'm finally getting ready to explore the world of selling my art and wares at a handful of Michigan craft shows and fairs. ::: NEWS January 2011 :::

My new art blog/website is now officially up and running!!!

*I've just spent the past couple of weeks digging through lots of old work and computer files in order to put together a portfolio of some of my artwork from the past couple of years. I've never been super about documenting my finished pieces, which is partly why I've decided to turn the process of documentation into a sort of running journal, which will take the form of this new art blog.

*I recently opened my Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/erinar. Currently, there are a few prints and stickers for sale with new items coming soon!

*Also, new prints, stickers, button packs, and paintings are available at Lenny & Me Home and The Three Birds Gallery in downtown Wicker Park, Chicago, IL.
